As a recent transplant to Los Angeles, I am learning my way about this town of freeways, palm trees, and endless sunshine. An early observation was the vast amount of donut shops in many neighborhoods. From Watts to the Westside, from Pasadena to San Pedro - Los Angeles loves donuts.
Being a donut fan myself, I decided to explore the many, many donut shops of L.A. and document my findings.
I'm not alone in this sugar fueled expedition - my friend Kate - a masterful baker with a refined palate -will be my companion through the streets of raised donuts, cake donuts, jelly-filled, powdered, and twist donuts.
